A new Life Together

First marriage failed for reasons not of his making but hers. A divorce was granted under abandonment. Second wife he met while sparring, their relationship lasted until after the birth of their daughter. There was no real fault here other than the two grew apart and recognized it, parting amicably. Life from that point held mostly work, the farmlands an ongoing project from dawn to dusk leaving a man too tired, or more purposely, to want that which he no longer had.

It was his children's urging that had him out socially a few times but he found it to be disappointing. Most were years younger than he, only making the point to hit harder of his years. Still, even if he had no one intimately, he had his children and friends and contented himself with that. One venture out he met one that finally drew him only to learn not only did she care for another but she was as young as his daughter. It was a mental wake up call, slap in the face but as with all things, they happen for a reason. Time will tell the reasons.
