It brought thoughts of the fabled Sir Lancelot Du Lac to mind and truth be told they were not far off. A man of skill renowned, honor pledged and bound only to break that which was at the heart of him by falling in love with the wrong woman. Such cast a darken cloud to follow down his lineage.

It is said there was something in the blood of such a Knight and it would eventually surface again. Son of a son of a son of a son, somewhere down that line. Melody Caster had fallen for such a man in England. She was one of the ladies in waiting of a prominent woman. A tryst found her pregnant and the man pledged to another soon afterwards, one of status. He would never know for she quietly left taking the son she carried with her. Gwain Du Lac was one of the descendants of Lancelot. Now her son would be marked by that very curse.
